Internship at Lierika
Lierika is a costume studio in Bruges with extensive experience in designing for theater, shows, and parades. During my time at Lierika, I primarily focused on upcyceling fabric scraps and three-dimensional construction.

Content and purpose
For Lierika, I worked on two major projects: the cupcakes and upcycling fabric scraps into jackets.
The biggest challenge was the cupcakes project, and by the end I was extremely happy to have completed it. One of the main reasons was that the fashion fabric was hand-stitched onto the foam construction underneath, a process that took me more than a week.
The combination of precise sewing and working with a three-dimensional structure was particularly interesting to me. I also appreciated that the focus was more on constructing a piece from existing forms rather than drafting it entirely from scratch.
